In TIK this week we have finaly started our final project, and so far it is kinda hard. We are in groups of three and each of us is doing our own program that is worth points. I'm doing the program that is similar to the SIN program. The hard part is trying to use ASCII which converts letters to numbers, for example A = 65. The tricky part is making A = 1, but I think you have to do something like A = 65-64. Of course there would be a real code to this but i just put it in simple terms so you (the reader) could understand. We also did our Ergonomics test which was really easy, but i couldn't answer one question because i forgot.....
This week has been very good and I;m hopinh to do very good on my exam part 1 for TIK

TIK Progress Report
This week in TIK was good. We continued to work on our Lotto ticket assignment which was a program where someone had to enter in their daily sales of lotto tickets and then have functions like how many days did you sell over 50, less then 50, how many days did we sell zero tickets etc etc. During this week we also had to do a mandatory topic about ergonomics, which is very....boring. Where having a test this week and its going to be easy. This week was ok, and the program was ok as well.

TIK Progress Report
This week was pretty fun. On Monday we learned about SIN Numbers and how to check if they are vaild or not. Soon after we had to write a program that checked to see if a SIN was vaild or not. This was a fairly easy program. The only hard part was trying to seperate a number with two digits like 10, and trying to get the zero away from the one. The other part i had difficulty on was adding them together. My error was putting it as string instead of integer.
Thursday we learned how to draw on VB, and friday (today) we started a new program

TIK Progress Report
The first thing we started to do this week was a slideshow using "For...Next" This was pretty easy, but the unfortunate thing is that for some odd reason we cannot run our programs while using the G: Drive (User's drive) so now what we have to put the program on the usb and run it from there. A minor drawback for now, but one that makes me mad!
Tuesday we started Loop Exit. What this does is while doing a loop you may want it to stop "looping" at a certain point so what exit enables you to do is to beasically stop when a certain command, or interval in the program happens. On Wensday we were still doing Loop Exit and other programs we did not finish.
Thursday was my last day at school this week, but on this day we started a mini-project which was exploring jobs in computers. It was due friday but 2 of my group members and I went to battle of the bands. Friday our fourth group memeber handed it in.....(i hope)

TIK Progress Report
This week was very very hard...in a way. The reason why was because we where doing our first group project and it was pretty big and i think it was worth alot. So we have been working on this project for over a week (forgot to do last weeks) and it was due on monday. Thankfuly we were marked last so we had time to finish it up. Then the next day (tuesday) we had a lesson about loops and it was part 1/4 of it so we learned for and next. This is pretty easy and kinda fun. We did about 5 programs for it and then the next day we started to trace some programs.
Its cool becaue certain commands can do things like make a list of number go backwards, make some number go away (eg. 1234 = ___34) and some more commands.
This week was good but kind of hard and i learned quite a bit so now i can do more programming!
P.S we got pizza...yeah!

Sorry I havent been on in a long time, i've been busy so yeah...
Monday I was away on March break.
Tuesday we had a work period.
Wedesday we got a new assignment where we learnt all the new things string can do, such as remove characters, input new one etc.
Thursday we still continued to work on the program about all the strings and we did the same thing on monday.
and now heres a cool movie trailer.

TIK Progress Report
This week we have finally started to do some programing using Microsoft's Visual Basic, and its kinda hard, kinda easy..
On Monday we did had our first TIK test, and it was pretty hard because flow charts are hard!
Tuesday we talked about structured and object oriented programing, and a little brain teaser
Wednesday we did our very first Visual Basic program which was a tax calculator. We had a step-by-step instructions but the hardest thing for me to get used to is the new layout. Last semester we did Turing and the screen was always black and there are some differences in the "language" and that's the hardest part for me..the change.

TIK Progress Report
This week we did theory. The first lesson we had learned was about computer terms, like software, hardware etc etc. Then we watched a video about a computer safety featuring a story about a man finding a girl by the Internet.
Tuesday we learned about the differnet types of computers, like a minicomputer, microcomputer. We also learned about differnet types of memories like megabytes, gigabytes etc etc.
Wednesday was a snow day, so we had our lesson on thursday. We talked about Pseudo codes and then more about computer programming.
Friday i was away but from what i heard we did: A lesson on cryptography.

TIK Progress Report
For the past week we have been working on our blogs and for me it has been a great experince! I have learned many new things, and for the first time ever, I have created a weblog.
I have completed everything for my blog, and i have added some extra things in there too. I will list them in a list to make it easier for you.
Created My Google Account
Created My Blogger Account and blog
Chose a Display name (Amazingly Awesome A)
Completed my Welcome Message
Added TIK as an Author
Added some friends on my friends list
Created a Favourites List (Music,DVD,Book,Photo-linked to amazon.com-)
Added a Hyperlink
Added Images to my one of my post
Enabled Mail_to_Blogger so I can post via E-Mail
Added a counter, 3 songs, and 1 video
Have no comments on ONE post (welcome post)
For me the hardest part was having no comments on one post. It took me a very long time, and at last I found it by scrolling down the page. The second one was adding videos and music. For videos I kept on putting the URL on, istead of the emebed the code, so it took me the a day to find out. Music was a tiny bit eaiser because i knew about the emebed code, but it took me an hour to find a good site for music. Overall this has been a very productive week and I had alot of fun doing it too!

Red vs Blue

Hi, its me again and today I'm going to tell you all about a Internet site called http://www.redvsblue.com/
Red vs Blue was created by Roosterteeth Productions, and Red vs Blue is created using a new type of media called Machinima. Machinima is basically using a video game and video game console to create a video, or in Roosterteeth Productions case, a whole entire series. The series was created by Micheal "Burnie" Burns, who is also the head of Roosterteeth Productions. So far there have been four seasons, and right now they are making episodes for the 5th season. They usually release the episodes weekly, and average to about five minutes and lenght.
Go to their head site http://www.roosterteeth.com/ and from there you can check out their other series, and the company history.
